Grades 1 – 3 (6 – 10 years)
Our aim is to provide children a stable foundation of the Arabic Language based on classical Arabic text at a very young age.
Lessons will be based on Targheeb’s curriculum which has been delivered successfully over a decade.
Lessons will include compulsory homework and periodical assessments/exams.
Levels 1 – 2 (5 – 7 years)
Targheeb’s elementary Quran with Tajweed program includes learning to read Qaidah Nooraniya.
Lessons also include basic Tajweed rules and reading short surahs.
Lessons will include periodical assessments/exams.
Students can either begin or continue to learn from teachers who have ijazah, They should know basic rules or take the Qaidah Nooraniya program as a pre-requisite to either learn or memorise Quran. Regular assessment including revision of previously memorized portions will be applicable.
Age Group: Grade One (5 – 6 years)
Program I
Overview: In this course, students will be learning that fasting is from the Five Pillars of Islam, the phases of the moon, supplications in Ramadan, doing good deeds such as the importance of giving Sadaqa and Zakat, the night of Laila ul Qadr, the two Eids and also do a variety of art and craft activities with the different topics of the week.
Age Group: Grade One (5 – 6 years)
Program II
Overview: In this course, students will be taught Qaidah Nooraniya level 1 and also learn basic information about Ramadan such as the Five Pillars of Islam, the phases of the moon, supplications in Ramadan, doing good deeds such as importance of giving Sadaqa and Zakat, the night of Laila ul Qadr, the two Eids and Ramadan essentials including a variety of art and craft activities.
Age Group: Grade: Two ( 7 – 8 years)
Overview: In this course, in addition to the topics in grade one (above) students will learn Why is Ramadan important to us as Muslims, evidences in the Quran and Sunnah, reasons for fasting, supplication in Ramadan, importance of giving Sadaqa and Zakat, importance of Laila ul Qadr, the two Eids and the meaning and benefits of selected Ahadeeth. They will also do a variety of art and craft activities based on the different topics of the week. They will also learn about the Companions* of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). Age Group: Grade Three/Four (9 – 10 years)
Overview: In this course, students will learn the meaning of Ramadan, the definition of fasting, when, how and why fasting in Ramadan was made obligatory, important commands and prohibitions related to fasting along with good deeds to strive in and others to avoid during Ramadan from a Fiqh perspective.
Age Group: Grade Five (10 and above)
Overview: In this course, students will learn Introduction to Uloom al Quran viz. definition and benefits of Knowledge, the history of Sciences of the Quran, definition and concept of wahy/revelation, meaning and explanation of selected Ahadeeth such as The sincerity of Intention is the base of acceptability of actions, Five Pillars of Islam, Care for the Mosque and Mannerism in Islam.
Overview: In this course, students will learn the interpretation of the meaning of basic words, the period in which the Surahs were revealed, their themes; and the meaning of Ramadan, the definition of fasting, when, how and why fasting in Ramadan was made obligatory, important commands and prohibitions related to fasting along with good deeds to strive in and others to avoid during Ramadan from a Fiqh perspective.
